Future Plans This page will give details of some of the activities planned for the future. Meanwhile look at the current activities and archived files. The plans for activities in 2008 and beyond are taking shape. Several events which have featured Beakerfolk have moved in the 2008 calendar, so there may be problems fitting them all in. A large clamp firing of pottery may be carried out in 2008. This will take a small army of helpers to prepare and construct the pottery and the actual firing clamp. Such a firing was done at Winterborne Monkton in 2004. Many lessons were learnt then and it is hoped a better attempt can be made in the light of subsquent experiments. New on the horizon is an event hosted by the Lulworth Estate, at an early stage of planning for 2009, this will hopefully be staged at a Bronze Age location in the rich landscape of south Dorset - on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. It aims to feature BA activities and enthusiasts, including makers, designers, archaeologists, museums and other bodies. Contact Bill for details or if you would like to take part.
