Upwey Old School Village Hall

Bill Crumbleholme has set up this page to give details of the Hall on his website.

Bill is leading the committee's efforts to revitalise the Hall, both its facilities and use.

The Upwey Potters, of which Bill is one, are users of the Hall, organising exhibitions and workshops and running evening classes.

Many other organisations and individuals use the Hall and this page gives some details of the many uses.

The Hall can be booked by groups and individuals, subject to availability, for events, parties, classes, exhibitions, meetings....... The rates are reasonable, by the hour or day..

Here are some details of what happens at the Hall
   
 
Maggie Cooke runs Painting Classes on Tuesday Mornings
 
Bill Crumbleholme runs Pottery Classes on Monday & Tuesday Evenings and some Sundays
  The Wood Carving Group meets on alternate Tuesday evenings
  The Morris men practice on Wednesday evenings
  A Yoga Group practice on Thursday mornings
  The Embroiderers meet once a month on Wednesdays.
 
The hall has a broadband connection and laptop available, thanks to the Connecting Dorset project, run by Dorset Community Action.
  The Upwey Society use the Hall for some of their village activities, such as regular wine tasting sessions.
