THE VENUE
Upwey Old School Village Hall, formerly the local village primary school, has developed a renowned reputation for its Arts and Crafts events and activities. Throughout the year there are various exhibitions and workshops covering a wide range of crafts.
The Village Hall is unique in having its own dedicated Craft Room with a fully fitted pottery. The pottery workshop is fitted out with kick and electric wheels as well as an electric kiln for stoneware and a gas kiln for raku. Pottery classes can expect to have a raku firing during the term - weather permitting! Additional workshops are available on some Sundays (see below)

These classes are privately run and are not part of the Dorset County Council Adult Education Service
The classes are suitable for absolute beginners and more experienced students alike. Everyone is encouraged to develop their own approaches to their work be it sculptural, hand building or throwing on the wheel.
